It has been a while since I have had any time to do much work on this site. I had planned to write brand new software to run Gluten Free Feeds but pressures of work simply don't allow me the time to work on such private projects. So, things aren't going to be changing much in the near future. Some minor changes that I have just made are:
- The front page now defaults to 'categories'. I have done this because the vast amount of content coming in from celiac.com was overwhelming that coming in from our gluten-free bloggers.
- The site contact form has been disabled as life is too short to deal with all the spam that I was getting through it. I have now put a link to the contact page of my business site on the About page as a replacement for the contact form.
- As I have now had the first submission for a gluten-free podcast, I have created a new podcasts category to hold this and any future ones.
- The update frequency of the feeds is now hourly - every 30 minutes was a bit silly and put unnecessary load on the server.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have submitted their sites to Gluten Free Feeds. I am getting good feedback on how useful this site is so please keep submissions coming in - the more feeds we have, the better.
